AbstractCuO nanoparticles were synthesized by precipitation method using different precursors as copper nitrate (Cu(NO3)2) and copper chloride (CuCl2) with post-heating comparing between as-synthesized and after calcinations. Relevant properties of as-synthesized nanoparticles were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy. Overall results suggest that the formation of CuO nanostructures with different shape, size and morphology can be achieved using different precursors via this process. The improvement in their crystallinity and purification can be further attained by post calcinations process
