ObjectivesCoronary endarterectomy has been shown to be an effective adjunctive technique of revascularization for diffuse coronary artery disease. A long arteriotomy and reconstruction of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) are occasionally required for complete extraction of the atherosclerotic plaque.
