AbstractResearch conducted in Beslan one year after a terrorist attack showed that extreme situations of this kind had deep impact not only on direct victims - people who were in the epicenter of the situation and their relatives, but also on the other residents of the town who were not touched directly by this tragic event. At the same time, long- term influence on affective state and cognitive structures varies in different categories of inhabitants of Beslan depending on the involvement in the situation
