The article presents the results of clinical examination of periodontal tissues in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The aim of the study – to investigate the peculiarities of the course of periodontal tissue diseases according to index parameters in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Materials and Methods. A clinical examination was conducted on 93 people who were examined on the basis of the Endocrinology Department of the Clinical Hospital in the Lviv region. The patients were divided into four groups, among them group 1 was 31 patients with type 2 diabetes; group 2 – 19 people with inflammatory signs of periodontal disease with normal blood sugar; group 3 – 23 persons with changes in periodontal tissues on the background of type 2 diabetes ...
