Thyroid hormones have cardiotropic impact. Their excess causes hyperfunction of heart, has a toxic effect on the heart muscle and the cardiovascular system. It is based on processes of hyperfunction, hypertrophy, degeneration and cardiosclerosis. The aim of the study – examining of tolerance to physical activity and severity of heart failure of patients with varying severity of toxic goiter and its changes against the background of thyreostatic therapy and after thyroidectomy.
