The research results of the changes of marketable product quality and natural losses during common cold storage and a shelf life period of 7 days at 20°C (cv. Reinette Symyrenko) under post-harvest treatment with 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) were presented in the paper. It was found out that in favorable years for the formation of fruit quality postharvest treatment of apples (cv. Reinette Symyrenko) with 1-MCP increased marketable products output by 14,8-86,6% with the advantage of higher commodity grade and reduced a natural loss. Postharvest treatment ensures lack of surface skin browning, lack or 3.7 times lower losses from overripeness, 4.5 – from flesh browning, and with a tendency to reduce losses of fruit rot
