Purpose: To evaluate the surgical outcome of precision pulse capsulotomy (PPC) in phacoemulsification surgery. Methods: One hundred twenty-three eyes of 99 consecutive patients who underwent phacoemulsification with PPC through a 2.8 mm clear corneal incision were prospectively studied at a tertiary care centre. The size, shape of capsulotomy and intraoperative capsulotomy, and surgery-related complications were noted. Visual outcome, IOL stability, and signs of capsular opacification/contraction were evaluated at 3 and 6 months. Results: The mean age of patients was 49.5 ± 7.77 years.
