Early and accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, which is the most common cause of dementia, is of great importance, as it allows pharmacological treatment of patients with dementia due to this disease. Unfortunately, it is often a long-term process, mainly because of the lack of access to specialists, limited possibilities of additional tests and, above all, the lack of knowledge about the nature of this disease. Sometimes, due to an atypical clinical manifestation, the diagnosis is delayed, preventing timely introduction of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy.
