This paper presents some thoughts and reflections regarding training in nanotechnology in general, as well as a few examples of initiatives undertaken by some countries. A specific analysis is done about the situation of training in Nanotechnology in some countries in the Iberoamerican Region; in this analysis the successes and current difficulties are presented, as well as initiatives that are conducted and weak points must be considered and improved
