The article deals with the features of the functioning of the metaphorical concept “Family” and reflects its conceptosphere with the correlating components in British and American political rhetoric. An analysis of the speeches of the political leaders of Britain and the United States reveals that the representation of the concept “Family” and its components, determined by the very reality and values laid down in the American and British societies, turns out to be somewhat different.
