The present article deals with some problems, connected with the lexical and stylistic aspects of the Bible translations, based on the so-called ‘dynamic equivalence’ principle. Many postulates of this principle, which were developed in the sixties of the 20 th century by Eugene Albert Nida, have been later criticized. They were partially reconsidered by the author himself. But it retains its actuality in connection with Modern Russian Bible Translation, especially its New Testament part, which goes back to the version ‘Good News’ translated by V. Kuznetsova.
