Belgrade is the center of Serbian culture, education and science. The first museums in Belgrade were founded in the 19th century, and today Belgrade has 48 museums. The aim of the paper is to explore how many visitors come to Belgrade museums, whether museums are, in the opinion of the local population, sufficiently involved in the tourism offer of Belgrade and in what way they can improve their attendance. In the first section the paper analyzes currently available statistical data about museums in Belgrade, and then it is given the analysis of Belgrade museums as tourist attractions according to the opinion of the local population, based on poll survey.
