Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a vasoproliferative disease of the retina in premature infants that can progress to blindness. Clinical ROP management standards have been established by seminal studies such as the Cryotherapy for ROP (CRYO-ROP) and Early Treatment for ROP (ET-ROP) trials, and have significantly decreased the incidence of poor visual outcomes in ROP. However, ROP continues to be a leading cause of childhood blindness worldwide
