is is a descriptive study of quantitative method and cross-sectional design in order to evaluate the perception of stress in nurses that work with psychiatric patients and identify factors that could lead to labor overhead in these professionals. e study was conducted in a public psychiatric hospital of Porto Alegre with 70 participants, among Nurses and Technicians. e instruments that were used for this research included the stress-Perception Scale 10, Rating Scale Professionals overload in Mental Health Services IMPACT-BR, short form and Socio-Demographic Data Questionnaire and Labor. e results show that the professionals have low perception occupational stress in daily work with the psychiatric patient.
