the purpose of this article is to preliminarily show how STS studies would contribute to more plural cultural landscapes of the engineering education. The conditions were investigated first by presenting some of the STS studies that propose plurality in technology, and later considering certain diagnoses concerning the need for change in the form of understanding engineering, the way it’s done and some of the challenges to take into account.
