The present article briefly studies the formation of Russian publicism and its development till present day in regards to the historic and linguistic aspect. The author distinguishes three stages in publicism formation. The first stage is “historic”. It represents the formation of publicism at the intersection of literary and business languages as the special form of the Russian language that includes the image of the author who is focused on the Russian rhetoric ideal.
