Increasing of the efficiency of public spending in developed countries: lessons for Russia

In this article, the object of research is the efficiency of public spending. The author substantiates the necessity of raising the efficiency of public spending at the present stage of development of the world economy, leads the dynamics of the share of public expenditure in GDP of developed and developing countries. The author also analyzes modern methods and approaches, by which to increase the efficiency of public spending, applied in the developed countries. As a result of study of foreign experience author comes to the conclusion that the most optimal way is chosen in Russia: strategic planning and application of instrument of program budgeting.
