Gender linguistics: Uzbek male and female speech

This article discusses the problem of gender linguistics in the aspect of its origin and formation, first of all, in English-speaking linguistic literature; a review of scientific literature, its analysis and concise description will be given; specific features of gender speech on the material of the Uzbek language will be analyzed, a speech of husband and wife, mother and son, mother and daughter in the form of short dialogues in Uzbek as well as the material from fiction will serve as the subject of the research; the dominant feature of female speech is characterized with shyness, loyalty to the husband, affectionate-diminutiveness, respectfulness, deference etc; male Uzbek speech is characterized with certain categoricalness, brevity, respect and attention in talking with others
