The World Health Organization is in the process of publishing the 11th edition of international Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11). This article discusses the rationale behind the creation of the new “Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (OCRD)” section in the ICD-11 chapter on Mental and Behavioral Disorders and compares it with the ICD-10 and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
