Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia with a multiple etiology and symptomatology. Persistent AF was associated with increased emotional discomfort, manifested through anxious or depressive symptomatology, symptomatology intensified during AF episodes.1 Lioni L et al (2014) showed that the level of anxiety is much higher in patients with AF compared to patients with other supraventricular rhythm disorders.
