The dualism of mind and reality, the self-reflective nature of knowledge, the emergence of the infosphere as the true habitat of mental life and the constructivist capacities of the mind, are some of the most innovative issues facing philosophical reflection of today. They are not completely new, because, at least since the Renaissance, the mind has constantly moved away from reality, intentionally building and refining its own virtual reality as an alternative to real reality.
