Many inactive fault lineaments developed in Kulon Progo Mountains, which are mainly composed of Oligo-Miocene age (33,9 - 5,3 million years ago) of volcanic rocks. The directions and distributions of the lineaments differ from one part to another. This research was conducted to reveal the fault lineaments on controlling disaster variation of the area. Fault lineaments delineation is done on the area of all Kulon Progo Mountains. Fault lineaments density variation map is made from the fault lineaments. Fault lineaments density variation map that overlaid by slope map will show the result in a relationship between the fault lineaments density and the potential disaster of the area.
