Background. Pneumonia in newborns is a topical problem of pediatrics because of its significant morbidity, high disability. At present, there is no doubt that the immune system plays a leading role in the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and outcome of respiratory diseases in newborns. The purpose of the study was to investigate immune status in newborn children with pneumonia. Material and methods.
