Background: Therapeutic hypothermia has become an established protocol for all neonates with moderate to severe Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy (HIE). There are very few studies comparing the neurodevelopmental outcomes in asphyxiated neonates who received therapeutic hypothermia or did not.
