This study sought to ascertain students' perceptions of the effective instructor. A comprehensive questionnaire consisting of 32 descriptors representing a composite from previous research was adopted and given to school administrators enrolled at King Saud University in a school administrative training program for further education. Frequencies and percent were given for each of the 32 descriptors with emphasis placed on the five most and five least important traits. A cross-tabulation was conducted to see if a significant differences occurred in the responses of those who were secondary and elementary principals.
