The article looks upon the role of memory as a key element of Nabokov’s poetics (based on his novel “Ada or Ardor”), it also analyzes Nabokov’s “theory” of time and space in Nabokov’s art. Scientific novelty of the article is conditioned by the approach to the problem itself: by multilateral means such as intertextual, hermeneutic and literary analysis the article reveals essential characteristics of Nabokov’s attitude towards such key metaphysical concepts as time, memory and space. The ontologic analysis of the philosophical and ethical notions presented here is an advance in comprehension of the rich metaphorical and symbolical structure of one of Nabokov’s most complicated and mysterious novel
