The beta draft version of the forthcoming eleventh edition of the World Health Organization's medical classificatory system, International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) is in the public domain, and the final approved version is due for release in 2018. In this beta draft of ICD-11, the section named “disorders due to substance use or addictive behaviours” under chapter 6 (Mental, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental disorders) has recommended some major amendments in terms of both form and content.
