The purpose of this study is to evaluate the research papers published in the periodical entitledContinuing Education in terms of their compliance with the academic criteria required and recognized byrefereed periodicals. To achieve this purpose .the study was conducted on 13 articles as a sample randomlyselected from work published in the abovementioned periodical. This sample represented 30% of all thepapers published between 1980 and 1987. In the light of these results, the writer was able to arrive at several recommendatiOns that wouldensure the improvement of the academic standard of research published in the concerned periodical
