In the contemporary audiovisual scenario, traditional production flows are facing changes in the distribution of financial resources and professionals are forced to find new ways to engage their audiences. Furthermore, the emergence of new narrative structures has enhanced the role of the crowd in the mediascape, showing that in order to overcome contemporary complexity it is necessary to find new models of collaborative creation and collective consumption of narrative worlds. The aim of this article is to make reflections about the development of practices that foster a widespread creativity, and that allow the creation of audiovisual products that are able to go beyond the mainstream circuits
