The purpose of this article was to present some reflections and discussions about the potential of the practice of writing in a context of deprivation of liberty from an educational workshop held at the Centro de Ressocialização Masculino (CR) in Rio Claro. The question that guided the study was: what moves and what can writing in prison? For this, I brought the narration of my trajectory as a professor of Natural Sciences in this space as a way to bring contributions to think about discipline, punishment and daily life in prisons.
