The purposes of this study are to explore the role of the internet in maintaining the scientific research ability of the students at Yarmouk University. and to define the reasons behind that. To achieve these objectives, a 45-item questionnaire was developed and representative samples of 112 students were randomly chosen. comprising 28% of a total population. Percentage, means, t-test and analyses of variance (ANOVA) were used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that internet uses give 24 access advantages, 11 of them were accepted by 50% of respondees. such as speed in exchanging information (e-mail), helping students in accomplishing their research requirements and getting information directly with no intermediaries.
