Health Related Physical Fitness Level and Physical Activity At Students From 12 to 15 Years at Riyadh

Due to the increasing importance of physical health related physical fitness and physical activity in this age, which is witnessing the increase of physical inactivity coping with the technological progress, and due to the great importance of measuring the health related physical fitness and physical activity at students in recognizing the health important indicators as well, thus this study aimed at recognizing the health related physical fitness level and physical activity level at students , 12 — 15 years, at Riyadh. Study sample was chosen randomly and it reached 250 students of the intermediate stage at Riyadh. The level of health related physical fitness elements , cardio respiratory fitness, musculoskeletal fitness, flexibility, and fats amount in the body, and physical activity level were measured. Study results showed a decrease in the level of cardio respiratory fitness at the study sample, while the musculoskeletal fitness and flexibility were in the safe healthy sides. In addition, the level of the physical fitness was low and there was a high percent of the students at the study sample who spent more than two hours in watching TV or video or computer games
