The paper is devoted to the 60th jubilee of the famous Russian historian, leading expert in the history of Russia of the Time of Troubles of the beginning of the 17th century, Igor Olegovich Tyumentsev. We present a short biographical sketch reflecting the main moments of I.O. Tyumentsev’s career as a researcher and as a leader who is currently holding the post of director of the Volgograd Institute of Management – Branch of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
