This article seeks to study the presence of books about the Americas in the libraries of Seville, a city that had an especial link with the New World, thanks to the centralisation on it of the Castilian commercial monopoly with the Americas during the 16th and 17th century. The main sources of this article are the rich notarial records of the city, that we will use to analyse which kind of texts about the Americas were in Sevilian libraries and who were their readers
