This article is an approach to several photos related to the American intervention of Veracruz, Mexico. Most of the photographs analysed are kept as part of the Casasola Archive, an emblematic collection created by the Mexican photographer Agustín V. Casasola. The purpose of this historical approach is to explore the significance of images produced between the months of April and May 1914, and to determine their importance for the press in Mexico City. This work mainly focuses on highlighting the use of photography as a historical document, as well as on its utilization in periodical publications
