This article proposes a reading of The Mystic Fable as a kind of "phenomenology of the writing" which, crossing several stages, incarnating itself in several figures (to use the Hegelian expression) reaches its unique and possible absolute knowledge: a knowledge "to lose". From the collapse of the medieval world to Labadie, the space of a mystical science emerges (a "passing science"), a historical figure of modernity that finds, through writing, the means to recompose, within the space of a fiction, the fullness of the word formerly guaranteed by the voice of God
