The last INSEE Family Budget Survey (2010–2011) oversamples housings in overseas departments (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion and Mayotte). Those data allow us to draw up an overview of household consumption on those territories. Disparities can be highlighted with metropolitan France. Neutralizing structural heterogeneity of populations, it emerges that ultramarine households (with the exception of Caribbean France) have lower spending than metropolitan households, notably for food, leisure and health.
