Our study seeks to assess the effects of an initiation to research on the development of early career schoolteacher practices. This initiation, included in schoolteacher education in France, represents, in the particular case of Creteil, 120 hours spread over the two years of a master's degree. The thematic offer allows students to engage in different fields of research according to their choice. In our study, these fields concern the didactics of a discipline (mathematics, sports) or the transversal question of gender equality and sexuality, approached from a socio-didactic point of view.
