La restructuration spatiale et la spécialisation des mésorégions dans la région Sud du Brésil

This article analyzes space reorganization and specialization in the Southern region of Brazil. The analysis uses tools for regional analysis. It appears necessary to increasingly open the methods of regional and space analysis to the comprehension of the phenomena of the space change and the localization of the economic sectors. According to the results, the most significant moments of reorganization of the Brazilian Southern region occurred during the years between 1950 and 1960 and 1970 to 1980. In the specific case of diversification, this one ensures a lighter fall in the moments of crisis of a specific economic sector. The specialized region is more fragile with the crises but is generally more dynamic when the business cycle is fixed in its specialization
