Based on three surveys conducted between 2006 and 2012 in various segments of public service in French-speaking Switzerland, this contribution shows that the occupational norms themselves and the career prospects offered in these different vocational worlds favor the expression of differentiated conformisms or transgressions of social gender relations. It thus distances itself from the idea of an individualization of trajectories available to all and argues that the pathways of women and men should be studied through in-depth analyses of professional organizations and the gender regimes that characterize them
