Efforts to mitigate the devastation of tobacco-attributable morbidity and mortality in the European Union (EU) consist of its newly adopted Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) along with the first-ever health treaty, the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC).
