Phenology of Spring Barley.

Phenology is the branch of science that studies mutual relationship between climate and weather and between every year repeated development of living organisms that pass through clearly defined stages, called phenological phases. In territory of Czech Republic phenological observations have long tradition. This article assesses observations of five selected phases of spring barley - sowing, emergence, second node, heading and fully ripe - which were made in period 1985-2003 in five localities representing various conditions which the barley is grown in.
