The article contains information on books and manuscript collections, which formed a rare and valuable fund of Oles Honchar Kherson Regional Universal Scientific Library. Consideration was given to the history of the emergence of the library and the library fund, including modern collections and private collections - collections of books Kherson journalist D. I.
