Sustainable tourism assessment based on expert criteria on the coasts of Manabi, Ecuador

The objective of this study is to seek convergence of opinions and process information that a group of experts has about the management of sustainable tourism in coastal cantons of the province of Manabí, Ecuador. As a method, the qualitative research technique was selected, specifically, the Delphi method, which favors research in the field of tourism, since one of the strengths it has is not requiring the presence of experts and the dynamics of information management. it is managed via the internet. In addition, analysis and synthesis of bibliography on the topic under study and comparative analysis of methodologies used in previous research on the field of tourism was carried out. The results of this study allowed validating partially by means of a model for the management of sustainable tourism in the coastal cantons of Manabí, which contributes to the decision-making process of the cantonal Decentralized Autonomous Governments, in the use of endogenous and exogenous resources and articulation of local actors linked to the sector.
