AC/DC power converters have been widely implemented in a variety of power systems. Power factor correction (PFC) is considered as one of the significant technologies in AC/DC converters, which has been researched deeply. A new topology of the boost PFC converter is investigated and related operating principles are analysed. The state space modelling approach is applied to evaluate the performance of the boost converter based on the continuous current mode. To demonstrate the stability of the overall system, an optimal design of a compensation network is carried out through the analysis and modelling of the boost PFC converter. The parameters of the proportional integral controller are determined through the theoretical design and mathematic...
