Poésie : un regain ?

A marginal genre in editorial sense, poetry, which occasionally declared itself « inadmissible » (Denis Roche), seems to find today legitimacy and recognition through a different approach from that of the standard edition. Often associated with other forms of art, it seems to thrive, on the occasion of various events and festivals, as « scenic » poetry (oral poetry, « performance », slam ...). But it is also at the symbolic level that it seems to revive itself. Using the language and questioning reality in its own way, it remains in France more than a narrative fiction but an essential object of philosophical thought (as attest the authors such as Alain Badiou, Jean-Christophe Bailly, Jean-Luc Nancy, Jacques Rancière or Giorgio Agamben, much translated and read in France). These renewed vitality and value have a lot to do with an emerging sociological reality that I call « poetariat ». Through « poetariat » increasingly assert themselves the claim and invention of life forms where poetry (as an idea and practical force) holds an important place, helping to draw the contours of a possible alternative to the dominant model of homo œconomicus
