Gail Pickering was one of six shortlisted artists for the Jarman Award 2015. The Jarman Award recognises and supports artists working with moving image and celebrates the spirit of experimentation, imagination and innovation in the work of emerging artist filmmakers. The Award is inspired by visionary filmmaker Derek Jarman. A single screen episode of ‘Near Real Time’ was shown in a series of screenings, artist talks and events for the 2015 Jarman Award tour.
