Communities and migration in multicultural societies

The author while undertaking the problem of communities in multicultural societies, distinguishes: communities of origin (blood relation) and created communities (in result of common experiences, values, symbols and culture). From one side recent events in the world cause cultural distrust, from the other side, undertake challenges of multicultural societies (as migration, cultural adaptation with keeping own identity). The tasks of intercultural education are: deepening a sense of national identity with responsibility for sub national structures, responsibility for common heritage of cultural borderland, openness on exhange, integration of immigrants and creating citizenship. Poland appears as an emigration nation without proper migration policy. The autor asks about the reason of not taking into consideration Polish cultural and geopolitical attractiveness in the strategy of education development in 2007–2013. At the moment of accession to the European Union and Schengen, Poland became more popular among potential immigrants, so that is the reason to think about our organizational, mental, social and cultural readiness to accept immigrants. From one side Polish membership in Schengen is treat as an integration in the EU, from the other, as cultural marginalisation of Eastern borderland. That is why author asks about existance and perspectives of immigration policy in Poland. Conscious person in pluralistic world presents many loyalties as a result of innovation identities (creative, extending by experience).
