Competency for intercultural communications in the light of selfevaluation in context of multiculturality of the region and migration processes – empirical results

The article discusses the processes of self-evaluation about intercultural communication competency of the individual. On the basis of gathered quantitative data, the author discusses a psychological level of understanding cultural difference and contextual influences in this regard. Three main perspectives were established when discussing intercultural communication competency of the individual. First, it is a social standard of multiculturalism. That perspective shows openness of individuals toward cultural plurality in the public life.
