The typology of toxic love in the era of Ukrainian and Polish modernism (based on Love written by Jan Kasprowicz, Iwan Franki’s Faded leaves and The diary of suicide by Piotr Karmański)

This article explores the love poetry of Kasprowicz, Franki and Karmański. It presents their common threads and underlines the differences that arise from the authors’ individual perceptions of love. The love is being emerged from various scopes that lead the characters to reckless decisions. In spite of their common suffering of souls, the act of suicide seems to be the only way to let it go. All the poetries are filled with desperate ambience. It is the battle of extreme feelings and search of relieving death. The lack of hope is the reason for the characters’ drama. Although the poets express the issue of pain in their own - unique ways, the idea of suicide remains similar. The intimate poetries perceptions of wild feelings, are expressed by the spiritual instability and personal dissatisfaction with life. All the aspects of love are filled with tears.157-17215717
